American Medical Software offers data conversions from several systems including some versions of Genius, Lytec, Marcs, Medisoft, Medware, Smartmedix, Visionary, Wisdom and others. Medical Manager and Centricity conversions are available through a third party vendor – Vision Data Technologies. We are always willing to evaluate your data to see if a conversion is possible or worthwhile. We handle all data according to HIPAA Regulations for Privacy and Security and a Business Associates Agreement.
Lab Interfaces
AMS is expanding our capability to order labs and receive results in the EMR system. Through a recent agreement with Atlas Development and as part of their ION Lab Network, AMS EMR users will soon be able to order/result labs to any lab company participating in the ION network. The cost for those services is normally covered by the lab vendor depending on your volume of lab orders.
AMS currently has HL7 results interfaces with the following labs:
